Ms. Sheehan teaches Creative Movement/Dance to students in grades K-8 at KingArts. She started her career as a modern dancer performing with the Chicago Moving Company under the direction of Nana Shineflug. With this strong background of performance, teaching and Arts Administration, she grew as an Interdisciplinary Arts Educator with successful outcomes in collaborating and facilitating cross-curricular learning through the arts. It is exciting to be able to bring all this experience to her dance classes.
During summer break she collaborates and teaches with visual art teachers at the School of the Art Institute (SAIC) for the 6-7 year old Multi-Arts Camps. She has been a certified BeMoved-Dance instructor teaching in the Adult Division for Joffrey Ballet Academy.
She has a B.S. Education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and MA, Education from North Park University IL.
